Job Summary
Data Interchange is a leading international provider of EDI and Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) solutions and services to the automotive and retail sectors with offices in the UK, Spain and Sweden.
As we continue to focus on securing managed service contracts with major customers as part of our growth strategy over the next few years, we are looking for experienced IT Consultants with deep technical skill sets who can support new customers and manage, design and deploy service delivery projects.
The ideal candidate will have an excellent IT technical skill set, proven track record and the ability to clearly communicate with both customers and senior management.
Responsibilities
• Provide 3rd line technical support to major customers
• Gather business and technical requirements from customers
• Analyse customer business processes
• Design IT solutions to fulfil customer requirements
• Contribute technical expertise to commercial RFPs
• Plan and schedule project implementations
• Perform solution deployments in complex multi system environments
• Perform data transformation
• Perform technical implementations of solutions at customer sites and configure solutions and network infrastructure
Skills and Experience
Essential
• Demonstrable ability to logically analyse and resolve problems
• Experience of requirements gathering and deployment of solutions at customer site
• Client facing skills
• In depth knowledge of Windows applications and administration
• Experience in diagnosing software issues
• Experience in diagnosing network issues
Desirable
• Knowledge of business processes
• Project management experience e.g. PRINCE2
• EDI exposure to technologies such as SAP, FTP, AS2, EDIFACT and XML
• ITIL Service Management
