DI attends European Supply Chain and Logistics summit in Düsseldorf

June 2009 - In mid-June 2009, representatives from DI attended the 11th annual European Supply Chain and Logistics summit in Düsseldorf, Germany. The event is a combination of keynote addresses (this year from DELL’s Supply Chain Director, HP’s Director of Supply Chain Development and Cisco Systems Inc's Supply Chain Field Operations), interactive workshops and pre-arranged meetings with senior executives from a range of companies in various market sectors.

The summit was well attended, with key decision makers and senior executives representing over 150 different major companies.

The pre-arranged meetings provided an excellent opportunity to network with senior executives and discuss key issues that affect their supply chain. Key on a number of organisations' agenda was reliability and scalability of supply chain software solutions. Consequently, EPIC with its distributed architecture and resource on demand capabilities generated significant interest.

One of the other pressing topics was how to obtain 100% supplier EDI enablement to streamline communications and reduce costs. DARWIN and DARWIN Web were ideal solutions to achieve this.
