VISIT hosts eIntegration Conference in Slovenia

March 2009 - In mid-March, our distributors in Slovenia hosted their own eIntegration conference to promote DI products and services. One of our Senior Consultants, Gavin Fowler, was invited to attend, in order to provide extra support for VISIT. Attendees included managing directors and IT managers from prospective customers, existing customers and local software houses. Attendance levels were superb, with over 90% of the registered companies attending.

The conference was an opportunity for VISIT to promote DI current products and services, but was also used to deliver a strong message that eCommerce will save companies time and money. This message was reinforced by guest speakers from two companies who already use DI products. They explained how they have implemented their systems and how it has benefited them.

Other presenters included a guest speaker from GS1 Slovenia, who was promoting the Global Database Synchronisation Network (GDSN), and a representative from a local software house who explained the impact that MMOG/LE would have on the OEM’s suppliers.

XLATE Evolution generated a lot of interest with the software houses, who saw it as a flexible integration solution to translate between their internal formats and the formats of their customers' trading partners.

ODEX Enterprise and XLATE Evolution were popular with companies who were looking to improve their integration with their back office systems and a number of companies were interested in using DARWIN Web to help streamline communications with their suppliers.

Since the conference, VISIT has received a number of enquiries from existing customers who require additional work, and requests for meetings from customers who are looking to explore the possibilities of integration and supplier EDI rollouts.
