DARWIN Minimum Requirements

Hardware

Pentium IV 1 Ghz or higher recommended
1 Gb RAM
1 Gb free hard drive space

The above are recommended minimum requirements. Practical systems should have 2Gb memory or more hard disk free.

For communications, one of the following is required:

Internet connection
Dial-up modem

Operating System

32-bit versions of the following:

Windows XP (SP2 or above)
Windows Vista
Windows 2003 Server
Windows 2008 Server

DARWIN 4 Software

.NET Framework 3.5 SP1 (not installed by DARWIN but can be downloaded from here)
SQL Server 2008 (Express edition installed by DARWIN)

The Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 is mandatory and takes up 250Mb. This will be required on all machines on which you install the DARWIN server and/or clients. It takes a good hour to install and may require a re-boot of the machine. It can be obtained from the Microsoft website – please use the link above.
