Overview

ODEXplus is designed for use by all types of organisations that require a highly functional system to perform their communications functions:

• smaller organisations requiring the ability to communicate with their trading partners
• larger organisations requiring a corporate gateway solution to deliver communications capability to their ERP/MRP system
• organisations that are operating commercial Clearing Centres in the form of a VAN

In the smaller organisation, ODEXplus functions as a simple yet highly reliable communications package, enabling the exchange of business documents with trading partners.

For larger organisations, ODEXplus can be integrated with any ERP/MRP system to provide a robust and efficient communications capability.

ODEXplus can also function in a Clearing Centre mode, with data storage for dial-up users and pro-active data forwarding for users directly connected to the X.25, ISDN or TCP/IP networks. The Clearing Centre version also has an optional X.400 component, available on the SCO and AIX platforms, that allows communication with VANs that use X.400 for their Interconnects.
