Report Designer

The report designer allows you to easily create reports and transport labels from any of the supported file formats in XLATE Evolution. You simply design the report visually using a drag and drop editor and then create a map from your file definition to the report definition. Run the map and your file is turned from raw EDI data into a stylish report, customised to your own needs.

Code Snippets

Code snippets allow you to insert program code (C# or VB .NET) at key points within a mapping so that very complicated mappings can be performed. You are free to access any of the .NET APIs from your code snippets, giving you unlimited flexibility in creating your map. A library of predefined code snippets, functoids, are shipped with XLATE Evolution and can be dragged onto the mapping IDE.

Standards Reference Library

XLATE Evolution ships with a broad selection of dictionaries in common usage within the automotive and retail sectors. As new standards are developed by the standards bodies, they will be made available to you inside XLATE Evolution.

Integration

XLATE Evolution can be integrated with ODEX Enterprise providing you with the possibility of automated mapping of incoming files and automated transmission of mapped outgoing files. Integration with ODEX Enterprise provides much greater control and visibility on the mapping process.

File Investigator

File Investigator displays EDI files in user-friendly format. EDI data can be displayed in raw or hierarchical views, highlighting errors in syntax and structure.

Advanced Logic Functions

Special logic functions allow you to set conditions upon the mappings that are being performed. Functions sets include mathematical, string and conditional functions.

Drag and Drop GUI

XLATE Evolution creates file mappings based on a source file definition and a target file definition. Once the source and target file definitions have been loaded, the GUI allows the fields or data elements to be mapped from the source file definition into the target file definition and displays a visual representation of the mapping on the GUI.

Data Definition Editor

The data defintion editor lets you quickly and easily create a definition which describes your file format. Data definitions can be automatically created from the set of EDI standards that ship with XLATE Evolution, although there are many scenarions where you will find yourself with non standard data that needs to be mapped. The data definition editor lets you visually define the definition for your files - for simple files it is possible for you to create a definition in minutes.
