DINET
DINET is a global messaging platform that provides a cost effective means of securely exchanging business data between trading partners anywhere in the world. With a single connection to DINET you can trade with all of your trading partners, independent of their communications protocol or connection method. Combined with DINET's message mapping capabilities
you can send messages in your own format whilst your trading partner receives them
in their own different format. For over 20 years DINET has helped thousands of customers to achieve better visibility of the exchange of data.
Message Mapping
DINET provides a fully managed message mapping facility so that any messages sent
to you by your trading partners are automatically converted into your preferred
file formats before they are processed by your internal systems. All message mappings
are created, maintained and monitored by DINET, so you are shielded from the complexities
of creating your own message maps, maintaining them when your trading partners change
their message standards and from the need to purchase expensive message mapping
software.
DINET can map your business documents into any format, ready for processing
by your internal systems, bringing total integration between your trading partners
and your internal systems much closer. The formats that can be mapped to include EDI (EDIFACT,
ANSI X12, EANCOM, VDA), CSV, XML, flat file, IDOC etc.
Alerting
Any hold up in the exchange of your business data can be costly. Also the knowledge
that your trading partners have received your invoices or if you have data ready
to be collected brings a sense of calm to an environment that need not be stressful.
In DINET, alerts can be sent by e-mail to allow you to gain total visibility of
your company's data exchange.
Online Account Management
With the online account management of DINET, you can see your account details,
your statement of account, invoices and view all the files that have been sent and received
by you. You have usage reports which show you how much traffic has been transferred
over a given period, split down by trading partner or message type. You can resend
files if your trading partner did not receive them for any reason, and you can
view and download any files sent to you.

Future Proof Communications
Today's communications methods are tomorrow's legacies and in the changing EDI environment of the moment, tomorrow comes round very quickly. It takes time, effort and resources to keep up with the latest communications methods and trading partners often demand that you connect to them using a protocol that they dictate.
You can protect yourself from the constant changes by using the DINET service, where you connect to us using whatever protocol you want and we connect on your behalf to your trading partner using their required protocol. It doesn't matter how many different protocols your trading partners dictate, we shield all the complexity and hassle from you.
You can connect to DINET using any of the connection methods listed below:
- Internet (TCP/IP)
- Broadband
- Dialup
- ISDN
- XOT (X.25 over TCP/IP)
- X.25 (Please contact us to discuss your X.25 requirements)
Single Connection
By using the DINET service you only need to manage one connection even if you are trading with many trading partners. Some of your trading partners may only accept OFTP, others only FTP and some may only accept TCP/IP connections. You can connect to DINET using whatever communication protocol or method you desire and DINET will exchange data with your trading partner on your behalf, using whatever method they require. By managing just a single connection to DINET, you can concentrate on what is important to your business.
