I am getting orders from Land Rover for different dock codes for the same items and delivery dates. Why is this and what can I do about it?

Applies To: DARWIN 3
More Information:

DARWIN is operating in the manner dictated by and agreed with Ford i.e. it displays the contents of all the orders received from Ford/Land Rover.

The situation you are experiencing is the result of Land Rover having recently changed the dock codes to which goods should be delivered.

Usual practice would be for Ford/Land Rover to send out an order for the original dock code with a quantity of zero. DARWIN would detect this and remove the original order from the system.

However, it appears that Land Rover are operating in a different manner to the rest of Ford and that they are sending out orders for a different dock code without cancelling the first set of orders.

DARWIN can only display the orders that it receives, so if it receives orders for two different docks, it will display both.

You should check with Land Rover which dock codes are the old ones and obtain assurance that they are now obsolete. You can then delete all the order lines which refer to the obsolete dock codes.
