Symptoms - The following message may appear during the installation of any software from a web download.
"Please go to the Control Panel to install and configure system components."
Cause - If the web download does not include a file called setup.exe, then Windows will check for files with the same name in some other system directories. This message is generated by the setup.exe program in the system32 directory and the fact that it is being executed indicates that the web download file is incomplete.
Resolution - The solution is to download the software again and compare the size of the downloaded file to the size indicated on the website.
