Applies To: DARWIN 2
More Information:

Support for DARWIN 2 has been discontinued and programmatical changes have been suspended. We therefore recommend any DARWIN 2 users to upgrade to DARWIN 3. The upgrade will be free of charge, provided you have a current valid licence for DARWIN 2.

N.B. Users of DARWIN 2 Ford Edition should contact our Sales department before upgrading.

The upgrade procedure is as follows:

  1. Log into our website at www.dip.co.uk/login.aspx using your DARWIN 2 serial number and licence code. Click on the link to request a new serial number and licence code for DARWIN 3.
  2. You will be sent an e-mail with a new serial number and licence code for DARWIN 3. Log back into the website using these new codes.
  3. Download the latest version of DARWIN. We also recommend that you download the service pack and the user guide.
  4. Follow the links at the bottom of the page in order to download the necessary Microsoft prerequisites. You will need to install each of these before installing DARWIN and then the service pack. Installation is very straightforward in each case.

Once you have installed DARWIN, run the DARWIN Administrator application and go through the initial 5-step set-up process. Once you have done this you will be asked if you want to upgrade from DARWIN 2. Choose "Yes" and DARWIN will handle the upgrade for you.
