More Information: When upgrading from DARWIN 2 to DARWIN 3, you may want to take the opportunity to install the product on a different machine.

To achieve this, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Install DARWIN 2 on the new PC.
  2. After you have run the software for the first time (in order to set up the system settings), shut it down again and transfer the following files from the old machine to the new one:
    • DARWIN.mdb - DARWIN database (essential)
    • DARWIN.cpo - Catalog profile overrides (may or may not be present)
  3. The contents of the following directories should also be moved:
    • Binary Data (this directory may not be present in older versions of the software)
    • Inbox
    • Outbox
    • Rejected
    • Scan

On completion of the steps above, DARWIN 2.4 will have been transferred to the new PC.
You can now install DARWIN 3 on the new machine. The upgrade will be handled automatically.
