This error is likely to occur when you open ODEX Professional. It indicates that the EVENTS.Q file has become corrupted.

Please follow these step-by-step instructions to overcome the error:

  1. Close ODEX.
  2. Select Start -> Run -> type in 'ODBCAD32' and click OK.
  3. Select the 'System DSN' tab -> double click on the 'EDI32' entry.
  4. Select 'Compact' -> Highlight your database and press OK.
  5. Select 'Version 4.x' on the right hand side and press OK
  6. Select 'Yes' to replace the database -> Press OK and return to the desktop. (You can close the dialog using OK or Cancel).
  7. Now using Windows Explorer, navigate to the Odex installation directory.
  8. Enter the 'Services\Event Manager' sub-directories -> Delete the 'EVENTS.Q' file.
  9. Now open ODEX.
