Please follow the instructions below:

  1. Double click on the file in the Received File list and check the message type field.
  2. If it says UNKNOWN, the file is non-EDI. If it says anything else, the file is EDI.
  3. Select Event Scheduler from the Maintenance menu, and create a new event of the type "Extract EDI" or "Extract Non-EDI" depending on the type of file you wish to extract.
  4. Enter a meaningful name and select "Used by Event Manager".
  5. Click on the "Details" button and enter a suitable path to extract the file (please note that ODEX will need to have write access to this location).
  6. If the extraction event is only intended to extract files of a certain type or from a certain trading partner, these restrictions can be entered.
  7. Either enter a full filename and select the Overwrite or Append options, or select the "Use counters for unique filenames" option.
  8. In the latter case you can still specify a suffix to be appended to the counter.
  9. Save the new scheduled event and click on Event Manager from the Maintenance menu.
  10. Select the event "File Received and Analysed", then select "Run a User Scheduled Event" from the dropdown list and click on New.
  11. Select your recently created event, and click on OK.

Files which have already been received can be extracted by clicking on the Test button from the Event Scheduler view. New files will trigger the extraction event automatically.
