More Information:

The procedure to test a new BACS connection and agree a Live date is:

  1. Ensure that the Service User is set to submission status "Structural Test".
  2. Import a file to BACS.IP in the normal way (place a file in the Scan directory as defined in the Back Office Systems).
  3. Create a submission, then Sign and Send this submission.
  4. Check the submission report that has been sent back by the BACS system for any errors.
  5. Synchronise with BACS to download the reports (i.e. select the Reports tab and click on the Download Reports icon).
  6. Contact your Bank's BACS section to ensure that the test was successful and that there were no problems.
  7. Agree a go-live date with your bank.
  8. On the go-live date, set the Submission Status in the Administrator to "Live".

  9. This Live status will only affect newly imported files and not those files already in the system.
Therefore do not attempt to import Live files until after the Live flag has been set.
  10. You are now live with BACS.
